SAP Basis Tcode series has reached 21 part and now is the 22nd one. Today I am going to explain about SM50 - Process Overview. Process Overview only displayed specific application server where you’re logon. So, if you have more than one application server than you only can display one application server process. But you can see all work process reside on that application server whether is is used or free one.

SAP Basis Tcode Series (Part 21)

Hi, today I am going to explain about SM49. SM49 is tcode to run external command or OS level command. For more convenient and deep understanding how this tcode works, I am going to run BRCONNECT command which can be run via OS level.

Simple Check to your high SAP database time

SAP Basis might have experience their problem related to their database. Some of database problem is that long query that result on high database time. For that problem, follow these step that might help you recognized and analyze your database problem :

  1. Check your I/O statistics. If you’re using Unix OS, you could use iostat command.
  2. Check your table structure. Make sure that you know which table is accessed and having high database time. This will quarrantine your problem.
  3. Create indexes if needed. SAP had created some indexes on its database tables. But you might want to create some and might also had created your own tables and make sure to have your own indexes so it would help your problem accessed your tables faster.
